Nour
Nour is a high school student. She speaks English very well and has a rich vocabulary, but she could use help with writing specially during class. For this she can use Alinea's word predictor. As soon as she begins writing a word Alinea recognizes what word she is most likely trying to use in the sentence even though she isn’t using the exact or correct letters. This writing feature works with filling out PDF’s, taking exams or writing her own class assignments. Thanks to Alinea, her writing has improved, and she is able to show what English words she really knows.

Amir
Amir is 15 years old and a high school student. He uses Alinea to more easily read a website or his email online. However, he enjoys reading physical books and wants help with being able to read pages from a book.

Fortunately, he can do so with the Alinea App. By taking a picture of a page from his book the Alinea app is able to read it aloud to him word for word while also giving access to other product features like use of dictionaries, annotation, and writing. He is also able to choose the voice and how quickly or slowly it is read back to him.  As research has already shown, having text read aloud increases levels of retention and understanding for certain users (Kosak-Babuder, Kormos, Ratajczak, 2018).
