March 2022

In the last few months, we worked hard to release new updates for the webapp of Alinea. We want to keep you updated about the most useful improvements and fixes.

The performance of low-end Chromebooks had been improved. This makes opening files from the Cloud drives much faster. Your students don’t have to wait anymore to open a document from their drive. Besides that, we have released new voices:

  • English: Tessa (South African), Sangeeta (Indian), Rishi (Indian), Moira (Irish), Evan (US)
  • Russian: Katya, Yuri, Milena*
  • Ukrainian: Lesya*

*The addition of the Russian and Ukrainian voices in Alinea could be helpful for the teaching Ukrainian/Russian refugees due to the war in Ukraine. This makes it easier for teachers to help these pupils with reading in their own native language.

Working in Alinea with your own native accent/language was never this easy!

See all the improvements and fixes.
